Terms of use
Last updated 17 August 2026 · Applies to Life OS for iPhone and Apple Watch
These terms cover your use of the Life OS app and this website. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app. They are written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
1. What Life OS is
Life OS is a personal health, fitness, nutrition, wardrobe and habit app for iPhone, with a companion Apple Watch app, home-screen widgets and Siri shortcuts. It reads data you enter and, with your permission, data from Apple Health, and it computes figures from that data: a sleep score, a recovery percentage, a strain figure, calorie and macro targets, posture angles, outfit suggestions and similar.
2. What Life OS is not
It is not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. The scores are calculations over consumer sensor data and your own entries. They can be wrong, and they are not a clinical assessment. Do not use Life OS to diagnose, treat or monitor any condition, to decide whether to take or stop medication, or in place of professional advice.
If you are unwell, pregnant, injured, have a heart condition or an eating disorder, or are starting a new training or diet regime, talk to a qualified professional first, and treat anything the app or its AI coach says as information rather than instruction. If you think you are having a medical emergency, contact emergency services.
3. Your account and your device
The app works without an account. Sign in with Apple is optional and exists so that your subscription entitlement and referral code survive a reinstall or a second device. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID and your device secure, since anyone with access to an unlocked phone has access to everything logged in the app.
You need an iPhone running a supported version of iOS. Some features additionally need an Apple Watch or another device writing to Apple Health, an internet connection, or specific permissions. Those features simply do not appear or do not compute without them.
4. Subscriptions, trial and billing
- Every feature is unlocked for 30 days from your first launch. No card and no account are needed to start.
- Pro is not currently on sale. Its App Store subscription setup is still being completed, so there is nothing to purchase inside the app at the moment. The paragraphs below describe how it works once it is available.
- Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered monthly and yearly, sold and billed by Apple through your App Store account.
- Prices are set in US dollars and displayed in your own currency by the App Store, with local pricing and tax applied. Prices can change. Apple notifies you and any change takes effect at the next renewal.
- A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings. The developer cannot cancel it for you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own policy. Requests go through Apple, not through this app.
- Without a subscription, the free tier keeps manual logging, water, journal, the wardrobe list, the checklist, widgets, three photo scans a week, one saved meal preset, and seven days of visible history.
- Nothing you have already logged is ever deleted because a subscription ended. History past the free window is hidden from view, stays on your device, and reappears in full if you subscribe again.
5. Referrals
The app may offer a referral code that rewards you when someone you referred subscribes. Referral rewards are granted at the developer's discretion and can be changed or withdrawn. You may not self-refer, create accounts to generate codes, buy or sell codes, or promote a code through spam, misleading claims or paid placement that implies an endorsement that does not exist. Abuse voids outstanding rewards.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code from the app, except where that restriction is void under the law that applies to you;
- use the app's backend for anything other than the app, including automated access, scraping, load testing, or routing your own traffic through it;
- submit content to the AI features that is illegal, or that is someone else's personal or health data you have no right to submit;
- attempt to bypass the subscription, tamper with entitlement checks, or interfere with anyone else's use of the service;
- resell, sublicense or redistribute the app or access to it.
7. AI features
The coach, meal identification, clothing identification and similar features are powered by AI models, including third-party models the app sends requests to. AI output is generated, probabilistic and can be confidently wrong, whether that is a portion estimate, a food name, or a piece of advice. Always review a scan before relying on it, which is why the app shows you the result before logging it. Do not treat AI output as medical, nutritional, legal or financial advice.
The coach can take a limited set of actions in the app on your instruction, such as setting a target or adding a task. Those actions are bounded on your device and none of them delete your data, but you are responsible for what you ask it to do and for reviewing the result.
8. Your content
Everything you log, including photos, entries, measurements and notes, is yours. You keep ownership of it. You grant only the narrow permission needed to run the features you use: to process a photo you scan so it can be identified, and to process a message you send the coach so it can be answered. That permission exists for the purpose of answering the request and no other. Your content is not used to advertise to you, and it is not sold. See the privacy policy for exactly what is sent and what is kept.
9. Availability and changes
The app is under active development. Features can be added, changed or removed, and the backend the AI features depend on can be unavailable, in which case those features fail and the rest of the app keeps working on device. No specific uptime is promised. If a change materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, you can cancel, and Apple's refund policy applies.
10. Intellectual property
The app, its name, its design, its icons and its underlying code are the developer's property and are licensed to you, not sold. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use, in line with Apple's App Store terms. Apple, Apple Health, HealthKit, Apple Watch, iCloud, Siri and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., which is not a sponsor of this app.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, no warranty is given that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any figure it computes is accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or loss arising from your reliance on a figure the app produced. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, you keep every statutory right the law of your country gives you, and nothing in these terms takes those rights away.
12. Ending it
You can stop at any time by cancelling the subscription and deleting the app. Access may be suspended or ended if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, for example referral fraud or attacks on the backend. Clauses 8, 10, 11 and 13 survive.
13. Apple
This agreement is between you and the developer, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any warranty Apple is required to offer, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price. Otherwise Apple has no warranty obligation. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Changes to these terms
These terms can change. The updated version is posted here with a new date at the top, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept it. A material change will also be noted in the app's release notes.
